Kicker Gwen Langley became the first girl to score a point for Valley West’s football team – and by the time she was finished, she’d hit all six of her PAT tries, finishing with as many points as anyone who reached the end zone on a single play.

Dallas converts 2 point Conversion to beat Valley West by 1 in OT

Dallas struggled to find an answer for the Spartans early ground game attack.  Sophmore Isaiah Cobb rushed 53 times for 294 yards and freshman Paul Riggs added 45 yards with 11 carries.

Dallas' 255 passing yards to the Spartans 34 kept them in the game until the last play of the game when Dallas senior punched in a QB sneak to convert the 2 point conversion for a 1 point victory.

Wyoming Valley West Spartans just could not get control of host Pittston Area.

The Spartans came out swinging with a 69-yard Luke Buss to Ryan Meyers touchdown on the first offensive play of the game. After that pass Isaiah Cobb was called on for the rest of a close game. Pittston Area pulling out a 16-13 win over the Spartans.

The Spartans came out firing with a trick play and Isaiah Cobb Throwing a Touchdown to WR Connor Olisewski.  The Spartans put up 20 points in the first half to take a 20-0 lead going into the locker room.

The Second half belonged to The Tigers who started their comeback but would ultimately lead to a game winning Interception by Devon Suda.

The Spartans look to continue there streak against Wilkes Barre Area next Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

The Spartans lost a conference game against Rivals Wilkes Barre Area Wolfpack. The Spartans were stuffed on a 2 point conversion leaving the score within 2. Wyoming Valley West will take on the Berwick Bulldogs next week at home and try to recover from tonight's loss.

The Spartans hosted the Berwick Bulldogs on a Saturday Afternoon. The Spartans pulled out to an early lead but the Bulldogs nudged their way to a victory 21-14.


WVW vs Williamsport

Williamsport took a commanding first half lead 27-0. Jaden Swainbank's 24 yard breakaway setup a 2 yard plunge for a TD in the 2nd Quarter. Williamsport answered back and went into half up 33-7. Williamsport beat Valley West 40-7 breaking a three game losing streak.


Hazleton Area vs WVW

Wyoming Valley West Spartans came out swinging and put together 2 drives to start the game that could not have gone any better. Hazleton Area turned on the brakes stopiing the Spartans momentum.

The Spartans led 12-7 on Isaiah Cobb’s 19-yard TD run in second quarter, but then surrendered 41 consecutive points.
